Green means go in govt initiative

Officials hope a plan to keep state purchases eco-friendly will plant seeds of change. The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment has joined the green movement by compiling a list of environmentally friendly products for state agencies to purchase.

......The ministry's green procurement project aims to present environmental knowledge in Thai society as they plan to help and slow global warming. Then Cabinet approved the Pollution Control Department's (PCD) rule wish government agencies to use eco-friendly products and services. After that this project was sent two years ago as the PCD determine to invest more in clean technology and protection attempts. They would like to improve and support the business sector, particularly manufacturers and service providers. Next, the PCD distributes a handbook that it has lists of products and services which it passed the group's green standard. The lists are 200 often used office products, which is allocated to 17 categories. The PCD received a "Green Leaf" certificate from the Green Leaf Foundation. They would like to cheer business director who interested in their products and services on the list to present information about the environment and green technology. In addition, the PCD already works together with 7-Eleven convenience stores to establish a "green corner" 5,500 stores around worldwide as 7-Eleven believe that the products will be eco-friendly products.

......In my opinion, Thailand doesn't have enough knowledge about environment as I agree with this news. Then the ministry's green procurement scheme would like to explain and help global warming by the Pollution Control Department (PCD) wants people use eco-friendly products and services. It is good news because eco-friendly products help to decrease pollution in environment even if this method can drop and slow down global warming. I like this project because many products in present have an affect on pollution such as some product was hard to decay, some product made from nature, etc. However this project is significant for environment and everybody, which some people ignore. The PCD has 200 lists on a handbook but 200 lists bring to use just 17 categories, so the PCD works together with 7-11 convenience stores. Therefore this project will be know because 7-11 stores are available around country. The PCD has another plan that the PCD requires to support and improve business sector and manufactures about environment and green technology. I like it because if manufactures still make products that it impacts pollution in environment. I hope that the PCD will do all of plans that they said. I would like left over categories in 200 lists will establish to help environment and wait the world will clean.
